Founded in 1985 Consumerunitworld.co.uk is part of the Electric World UK group of websites, dedicated to providing superior products, outstanding service, and excellent value. We have over 37 years of experience in supplying consumer units, 3 phase fuseboards and circuit protection devices to both trade and end-user customers.

Understanding every aspect of our products, the UK electrical regulations, and crucially, the varied problems that different installations can present, gave us a great advantage when developing this site.

We know how consumer units are installed, we know how they are purchased, we know how confusing all the technology and terminology is and we know what questions you're likely to be thinking of!;-)

We have therefore categorised our circuit protection products in a way which — hopefully! — helps you find what you looking for quickly and easily. If however, you require any advice, please do not hesitate to call us. We are real people at the end of the phone and look forward to helping you.

We only supply branded products from the UK's leading names: Fusebox, Hager, Wylex, Lewden, Ryefield Engineering & BG. You can, therefore, rest assured that when you purchase from our site, you are buying a quality product that will provide years of reliable service.

We hold a vast array of stocked lines in our Buckinghamshire warehouse, but for the remaining items, we generally work to a 3-day lead time, dependent upon manufacturer availability. Occasionally lines do go out of stock, but we do our best to source alternatives for you and will always keep you updated with lead times. We use DPD for shipping, which has proven to be our most reliable carrier. You will receive a text message about your delivery and can track the parcel once it has left our stores.
