FuseBox continues to innovate with the release of their F3 Series consumer units—now available with an exciting new option: a single-module Type 2 Surge Protection Device (SPD), model SP1MT2, that connects directly to the busbar without the need for an additional MCB. This compact solution saves space and simplifies installation, giving electricians an extra usable way within the board.
This new generation of boards comes in a variety of configurations ranging from 4 to 48 usable ways, and includes Single, Double, and Triple Bank designs. Key models featuring the built-in SPD include:
F3007MZ – 7 Way with 100A Main Switch + SPD
F3011MZ – 11 Way with 100A Main Switch + SPD
F3015MZ – 15 Way with 100A Main Switch + SPD
F3021MZ – 21 Way with 100A Main Switch + SPD
F3023MZ, F3031MZ, and F3047MZ – Larger double/triple bank units with SPDs for more complex installations
All SPD models use the space-saving SP1MT2 device, giving installers the benefits of surge protection without the traditional space penalty. These boards also come with enhanced features like reinforced grommet strips and maintain all the trusted qualities FuseBox is known for—robust design, easy installation, and user-friendly layout.
These innovative consumer units will be available from Consumer Unit World in June 2025.
