The courier may contact you directly for information pertaining to their investigation. If they do not receive a response the investigation will be ended and no replacement or refund will be honoured.
11. Returns
Faulty Items
All warranties for all electrical items are invalidated if not installed by a fully qualified professional electrician. We cannot accept the return of any item deemed faulty unless it has been installed by a fully qualified professional electrician registered to one the UK's five trade bodies: NICEIC, NAPIT, ECA, ELECSA, JIB.
In order to verify the proper installation of the item and the integrity of the electrical system into which it was installed, including circuit protection devices and fuse board, we may need to speak to the installing electrician. For this reason we require that the customer provides full contact details of the installing electrician at the point of return, including the trade body to which they are registered and their registration number.
We cannot process any refund or replacement for a faulty item without this information. The Company will not cover the cost for installation of replacement items.
Damaged or Incorrect Items
Please notify us of any incorrect or damaged items on delivery within five working days of delivery. Regrettably we cannot accept the return of any item after this period. Please note that we are not liable for damage incurred by 3rd party couriers. Items that have been forwarded on from the original DPD delivery destination will not be covered. Any agreed returns should be either sent directly to the manufacturer or to us under agreement at the customer's expense. The Company will not cover the cost for installation of replacement items.
Unwanted Stock Items
Customers in the UK have the right to withdraw from the purchase of an item within fourteen working days from the day after the date the item is delivered. Unwanted items being returned must be unused, undamaged, and in the original manufacturer’s packaging. The manufacturer's packaging should not display any marks, or damage caused by tape or delivery labels, so that the item and it’s packaging is fit for resale. To ensure adequate protection during transit, we kindly request that the item is securely placed inside another protective box, similar to how the order was shipped from us to you. Please use sufficient packaging material to safeguard the item and prevent any potential damage during transportation. If you need to return an unwanted item please notify us by email of your intention to return and make sure the item ships within 14 working days of notifying us. Returned items that ship after this time will not be refundable.
Customers returning unwanted goods can use the shipping link provided or at their own cost using a 'signed for' carrier service. Please note that oversized items that are not covered by the shipping link will need to be returned at the customer's cost. We are unable to exchange items that are not damaged, defective or incorrect after these fourteen days, nor if they have been used or removed from their original packaging. Upon inspection, the sale will be credited less our initial carriage cost and the cost of the returns shipping if used, the cost of which is dependant on the weight of the package and can be clarified upon request. Please note that some items may incur a handling/re-stocking charge if returned.
Unwanted Special Order Items
A 'Special Order Item' is any item available on the website or that has been specified or requested by the customer which includes but not is limited to items that are made to order, made to measure or cut to size. We cannot accept the return of any special order items. Standard items not offered for sale on the website that are requested by the customer will be obtained if possible. These may incur an additional stocking fee but will incur a handling/re-stocking charge if returned.
